Who I Am

Hello!  My name is Amy and I'm a fourteen year old homeschooled girl who lives in the best state in the country.

I love working with words.  I love seeing a story unfold underneath them.  I love reading well-written books.  I think I got a lot of it from my mom.  She used to be an college English teacher, so writing was always very prevalent in our education.  Funny thing is that I used dread it when she put 'write an essay' on my homework to do sheet.  I used to not like writing which was the reason why she would always 'punish' me by giving me the task of writing a full notebook page apology letter.  I used to beg her to not make me do it.  I would be like "Please mom!  Can I wash the bathroom instead?!?  Please?!?"  Looking back on it, I would still probably take washing the bathroom over an apology letter because really, how can you fill a thirty line piece of paper with I'm sorrys?  I usually write a really good one in the first ten lines and then I'm stuck going "I'm sosososososososososoooo sorry!"  for the rest of the twenty lines.  Which is pretty lame for an apology letter in my opinion.

I write song lyrics for fun almost every day.  I write poetry rarely, but I really love writing it.  I write prose when I'm depressed.  Which is when I'm the most creative I think.

Music is my life.  Seriously.  I love it so much.  I pretty much fill my life with it every day.  I play four instruments.  Guitar, Ukulele, Bass, and Keyboard(not really).  I sing, which I'm not the greatest at, but I love doing it.  I write my own stuff and I record it too.  It's not the greatest quality either, but I'm working on that.

I am a proud Christian.  I believe that Jesus is my Savior.  And I love him with my whole heart.  It's a relationship, not religion.

My family is pretty awesome.  We're a family of six along with three dogs, so it can get pretty crazy around here.  My older sister whose 18 is off at a university and then my two younger brothers (6 and 10) are still here at home obviously.  We have three dogs which, in my opinion, is one too many, but I still love them all anyway.

Here they are

The one in the background is Lulu, the sad scraggly black one is my baby Kiki and the one WHOSE TOO CUTE!!  is Teddy...who is like a real baby.  He gets into a lot of of trouble, but he's so cute doing it, that he rarely actually gets in trouble for it.

I love running which is something that I've just gotten recently into this past year.  I can't last very long, but I still love doing it.  I'm bummed out cause it's really too cold to run here now, but I still do it anyway haha.

I love makeup and fashion.  I absolutely LOVE long, dangly earrings and I have a huge collection....Last time I counted I was up to thirty pairs I think.  I love jewelry, but I move around a lot, and jewelry kind of hinders that, so I don't wear a ton of it.  Mom warned me when I wanted to start wearing makeup that it's a pain and you feel forced to put it on every morning.  I said that would never happen...flash forward a year and now here I am spending a half an hour EVERY MORNING PUTTING IT ON.  Mom was right as she usually always is.  But I still like it and I still wear it.  I recently found that I like skinny jeans.  Never did before, but I love boots and skinny jeans look great with boots.  I love Converse All Star Brand.  I love American Eagle even though I don't think I've ever really bought anything from there because it's too expensive and I never have money.

My passion is working with Elementary age kids.  I love spending time with them and playing with them or teaching them.  It's so cool to know that you can have such an impact in their young lives.  I teach Sunday School at my church and I also babysit for a Core Group.  I loove my core group kids!!

I want to become a teacher when I graduate High School and I'm already on my way.  I'm taking classes at the community college in my town.  Actually, creating this blog was homework for one of my classes.

So that's me in a nutshell...a very big crazy random nutshell.  Kudos to you if you lasted through this whole thing.  That's very impressive.

Hope you have an awesome day,

Amy
